LOL, Flanagan rips Elvis and his performance on HBO...

From Flanagan in today's Star:
The HBO real-life series on the NFL called "Hard Knocks" aired its second segment Wednesday, and it probably was a bit hard to watch for the two or three Elvis Grbac fans out there.

The series follows the Baltimore Ravens training camp, and while Elvis was virtually ignored on the first segment, he was prominent near the end of Wednesday's segment.

But we're guessing Elvis would rather have been ignored again. HBO showed Elvis taking about eight snaps from center, and the unofficial tally went something like this: Fumble, tripped and fell, fumble, fumble, incomplete pass, incomplete pass, sack, incomplete pass. Well, you get the picture.

You've seen it all before anyway.
I'll give him one thing, when he doesn't like a guy, he lets us know about it (and vice versa, IE Bob Hamelin)...

KCTitus,

Do they even report Clinton affairs anymore? I think that falls under the "dog bites man" heading.:)

Hey Wolf, don't apologize...slam him and slam the MF hard!!!!!!!

BTW, I wonder how Elvis is feeling now that the Ravens don't have a running game?

Probably thinks he's back in KC last year...

People keep saying, "forget about Elvis, he's gone"

Does Elvis cut us the same slack? Hell no...

EVERY interview he does he knocks on KC and KC fans. When he stops, I'll stop wishing him the worst...

Ok ok guys,
I see your points. I guess the people who support EG when he was here want to be vindicated (i.e. he does well this season). That would be the only reason I would want to see him and/or B'more do well. If he does poorly this season, I'll have to say you guys were right.
I'm just curious, where is this Flannigan article? I haven't seen it on the kcstar.com website.

"Listen closely. The man is gone. What he does or doesn't do is irrelevant unless the Ravens play the Chiefs. His TC performance or lack thereof is not our business or concern. Give it up. The jihad is over. "

I CAN understand where you're comming from. I just disagree. I want Len Elliott to miss everything he kicks for the rest of his life, weather it be a football or dirty laundry. I want Neil Smith to retire because no one wants his services. I want Dale Carter to play poorly in EACH AND EVERY game he starts.

WHy? Because they did not just leave, they either failed miserably when needed most or stepped all over Chiefs fans when they got the Chance. I will want Bono to fail in any football oriented career for the rest of his life. I hold a grudge...

Neil Smith saying "It's great to finally be playing for the good guys" after a Broncos win erases for me anything he did in a red and gold uniform. That's just despicable. He takes out an add in the KC Star to let the fans know he loves KC, it's just a part of football. Then he lets the fans know that he never really did think of us "as the good guys."

I hope Grbaby trips each time he tries to put one foot in front of the other. I was a Grbacker, now he's on my Elliott list....

That's exactly how I feel Brad.

If Elvis (or Smith or whoever) had said after leaving "I really liked the fans" or something, then fine...

But Elvis ******* about KC everytime he gets a chance...**** him.

Why wouldn't Elvis have some negaive feelings about Chiefs fans?

Aren't we the ones that cheered when he it appeared that he was hurt against SD?

Yes, he said some stupid things, and made some bonehead plays, but cheering because a player because he may be injured is low class.

I'm glad he's gone. I think that Trent Green will prove to be a better QB.

But I don't blame Elvis for leaving, and I don't blame him for having a low opinion of the fans in KC.

We earned that low opinion.

Milkman,

He also earned his own reputation. I agree that booing ANY injured player is classless. However, the insults he took while here and since leaving are deserved IMO. I can understand defending his play or his toughness(mental and physical) but to say that people who criticize this guy need mental help? no way. Elvis is every bit as deserving criticism and ridicule as any other foe of the KC Chiefs. More so. He looked inept on the HBO show and I loved it. I knew he would and I expect more of the same. If hating Elvis, hoping he falls flat on his face and pointing out how truly bad he performs is wrong. I don't wanna be right.

I'm not saying that hate for Elvis is wrong.

I'm saying he has valid reasons for his feelings towards KC fans, and those feelings should come as no surprise.

Milkman,

I agree whole-heartedly. I've not been told to like Elvis, I've been told that I should let it go.

Elvis has very good reasons for feeling the way he does, but until he "let's it go" why should we?
I want Len Elliott to miss everything he kicks for the rest of his life
Ok perhaps that's the fundamental difference that I'm just not understanding here. Personally I couldn't care less what Elliott does unless it effects the Chiefs. I don't care if he's kicking field goals or neighborhood cats. He's simply not on my radar. I hated Len as much as anyone else when he missed those kicks, but the minute he was cut he became a non-person for me.

I was one of the biggest Grbackers on the board. I was embarrassed at times to call myself a Chief fan with the way 'fans' acted towards EG. I wish the man well and if a Raven game is on and doesn't compete with a Chief game I may watch. Aside from that however he simply doesn't exist for me. As long as it doesn't effect us I don't care if he passes for 5000yrds or 5. I refuse to devote the energy towards feeling ill or positive about the man. Life's too short to dwell in the past. That's just me guys. Feel anyway you choose.
