Is the 1980 "Popeye" movie with Robin Williams the absolute WORST movie ever?

I can't believe I sat and watched the last 55 min. of this movie. For some reason I just HAD to see how it ended.

Being there (Peter Sellers)
This movie won critical acclaim, but OMG it is so slooooow.
You could actually go to the popcorn stand, wait in line and miss nothing.

Yep. It was good fun. I believe that was Selma Hayak (sp?) as the headlining stripper with the snake.

How about Divine Secrets of the Ya Ya Sisterhood? I caught a few minutes of that one night when it was on TBS or TNT or whatever. I was bored and nothing else was on. Talk about a stinker.

When I first saw this on the list I couldn't believe it. Then I noticed the year. Did they remake the original 80s flick with Ralph Machio and Steve Vai? Or is this something completely different?

Heh...I do believe that is the flick with Britney Spears where she goes off to college.

The Crossroads movie based on Robert Johnson was good. Completely realistic when Ralph Macchio outduels Steve Vai on the guitar in hell, too.

Slapshot 2 was the worst movie i've ever seen. But Popeye is pretty brutal.

That name and that word do not belong in the same sentence together.
