Herm was just interviewed on 810. He says 25 vets are also coming to the rookie camp this weekend. ARE WE READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL?!

One of the reasons the Pollard drafting confused me is that even if he comes in and plays well it might still not be enough to unseat our starting safeties, since they are all basically the same of type of player.

On the other hand a guy like Ko Simpson or Pat Watkins are more players in the free safety mold. They bring something new to the table, and it seems like one of them would have been a better fit along side one of our vets.

What standard is that? Does this standard you've set take common sense into consideration?

Why don't you list all the rookie second rounders from last year that made an impact beyond special teams. I mean, obviously if Peterson's way is so much more jacked up than the rest of the league, you'll find plenty of second round starters from last year's draft. Probably all of them except the Chiefs' pick.

Now take a look at the stats of those guys. How many of them didn't start a single game? How many didn't even play in a portion of games? How many only played STs?

I don't have a problem with expecting something from your 2nd round pick, but the reality is a lot of them don't provide much beyond special teams help in their rookie year. To sit here and jump all over a coach's comment about Pollard helping on STs, made before the guy has even stepped on the practice field, while talking about unreasonable expectations is just fucking absurd.
