(The Chili Peppers are most often thought of as a late 80s and 90s band, but I think they are getting better as they go, although Mother's Milk and B.S.S.M. are both excellent albums)

Favorite Band (from that decade, not already listed) - King Crimson
Song the epitomizes your feelings on that decade -Rolling Stones- Gimme' Shelter

I can't believe how mainstream my choices look. I guess some popular bands actually deserve it.
