There was an excellent video TLC or THC did on Tesla. He was trying to protect Europe from ze germanz with some kind of electric death ray that no one believed he could make.

The Prestige was a pretty good movie, too. But I still like The Illusionist a bit better.

Wait a minute................Westinghouse was just as instrumental in the usage of AC as Tesla. It was Westinghouse that secured the contract for the 1893 Chicago Worlds Fair.

How about Maxwell who gave the formulation for all of electromagnetic theory. Einstein's work is based alot on Maxwell. He lived a little before Tesla. Then there is Faraday a half century earlier who showed that the dynamo and electical engine was possible. I am not going to champion Edison but Tesla engineering processes were built upon Faraday's work. There was the work by the American engineer whose name I forget presently that made a killing engineering electromagnetic cranes that lived before Tesla.
