Phob, what could a guy use if he don't eat pork? What would have a similar but good flavor?

You could also try to find a beef chorizo to substitute I guess. Never tried it but I'll bet it would work.

Here's a quickie that'll add some POW! to your meal:
Get a Boston butt and baste liberally with about a quart of anti-freeze. Place on grill, then kiss your butt good-bye! |

I need a recipe for a flank steak. Anyone got a good one? I've done the soy, sesame, orange rind marinade before but I'd like to mix it up.
Two easy recipes we've always done. Nothing fancy. Soy Bacon Wrapped Shrimp. Just marinate the shrimp for 5-10 minutes in soy, wrap with bacon, skewer and grill. Finish with sesame seeds. You could also add a splash of sesame but use sparingly. Maple and Red Pepper Flake Pork Tenderloin Mix maple syrup (good brand, no Mrs. Butterworth's), crushed red pepper flake (to desired heat level) and olive oil. Marinate pork, usually overnight. Grill but watch pork since sugars in the syrup can tend to burn. |

YOur mom is like corned beef...her recipe is hard to make due to lack of enthusiasm of the parties involved and her beef curtains will need days of tenderizing. |
