Terry Bradshaw would be so glad you bought a Traeger, so he can make more coin from pimping it on Leno last Friday.

After the meat is done (tender to a fork) remove from pot. You can cook cabbage, potatoes, carrots, onion etc in the stock. Cook root any thing but cabbage about 20 -25 min, then throw the cabbage in at the end for an addition 10 - 15. Put the meat back in the pot for 2-3 min to heat before serving. Extremely easy and delicious. |

If you want to do the pressure cooker thing, wet the lip of the lid on the dutch oven, put it on, set a couple folded towels on the lid, and set a burlap bag with 8 lbs of pebbles in it, on top of the towels.
Pressure= Force/Area Don't let it overboil. Could be dangerous.

I'm tasked with a "giveway" for a meeting.
I've chosen to do a webber grill and the "fixins" I'm open to suggestions to stuff this thing with around a hundo in grill supplies. What are your "can't forget" suggestions? |

Get a bag of lump charcoal (to teach them what REAL charcoal is like cooking on) and a chimney starter!!! Don't skimp on the chimney starter, either. The first one I bought was Wal-Mart's brand... what a piece of crap. The second one I bought was from Weber.

Do NOT get them any sort of device that could be used to poke the meat. Too many grillers use grill forks to turn the meat, and all it does is manage to spill the meat's juices all over the grill and make the meat dry.
And tell them to stop squishing the hamburger patty on the grill! They're squeezing the juice out! Damn. I get worked up over this. Never as bad as my father-in-law, though, when he put my filet mignon in a marinade. He hasn't marinaded any of my steaks since. |

I've got my eye on some silicone kitchen mitts. Heat resistant and dishwasher safe. What better way to handle your meat.

I'm thinking spices, dry rubs, seasonings, marinades and some things along that line also.
