On Thursday, Pizza Hut restaurants in Topeka will donate 20 percent of all sales — dine-in, carryout and delivery — to the United Way Greensburg Disaster Fund.

In a news release Tuesday, the United Way of Greater Topeka said customers must request the donation be made to the disaster fund when placing an order.

“We are not surprised by the outpouring of support for our fellow Kansans in Greensburg,” said Nancy Perry, president and chief executive officer of the United Way of Greater Topeka. “Helping one another in times of great need is what we do best.”

The United Way Greensburg Disaster Fund has been established through the United Way of the Plains office in Wichita.

I'm jealous of you all. Pizza Hut sounds great for lunch, but I can't feel as good about it as you guys.
