Eddie Drummond made no friends in KC and "should" be gone next year. Never should have been here in the first place.

Kennison probably wont be back next year.

Webb sucked. I hated watching him kick return this year. Man... we really were spoiled by Dante and Vanover.

Do the Chiefs look around in free agency for a kick returner or do we draft one?

I don't know of anyone whom is hitting free agency that is a KR/PR and worth bringing in.

What about promoting from within and if so, who?

Sapp... perhaps pick Phin back up?

Similar is... why do you need to have a kickoff specialist? Can't we find a kicker who is competent enough to kick the ball in two ways effectively? (Not that we've had a lot of luck finding a kicker who's even good at one of them...)

Or, a long snapper. Can't we get someone else to do it? Kendall Gammon was a fine player, not to take anything away from him, I can't remember us ever having a bad snap during his entire tenure, and that's worth something. But still.. what about the regular center?

Just get someone who can do kick returns, long snap and kickoff. One roster spot, three roles.

Chad Owens, a real burner, was waived today by the Jags to make room on the roster. He should be brought in to compete for the job. By the way, he can catch too.

Try Jared Allen at it. He seems to be able to do everything else. And he long snaps too doesn't he?

I think the Phillippe-Darche find was a good one. Gammon was making a mint because of his tenure in the league and we found a younger, way cheaper replacement that can actually go downfield and make a tackle (check his special teams stats). I can't think of one time we thought about the snap in kicking situatuins, which means Darche was pretty reliable.

Despite 19 years of evidence... it was never more apparent that Carl had lost his touch (did he ever have it?) when week after week we had to watch Drummond run 7 yards and die... between that miscue the Oline the kicker situation, lack of depth and direction. He must have photos of Clark Hunt ****ing a donkey.

Agreed, he obviously has a 5 year plan that he has been wating to spring but the coach derailed it and thus set him back a year.

I dunno. I think they could put anybody back there and they could be better than Drummond. I say we put a rook back there. The vet strategy (Drummond) hasn't worked.

I've always wondered why they haven't given Parker much of a shot back there. Maybe he's a muff liability.

and is no more turn over prone than other WRs

Andre davis is a free agent, he returned like 4 kick-offs for tds this year for texans, so thats my choice, drummond sucks!
