What is worse? Having to go outside to get your fix or imposing the consequences of your habit onto others?

Is it really that big of a deal for you to go outside? Man, you must be a real pussy (and a self-centered pussy, to boot).

Others are not imposed. They aren't there at all if they have the sense to leave.

Not trying to pick a fight, although that is seemingly what you are trying to do, but how is smoking in a place that allows smoking "imposing the consequences of your habit onto others?" It isn't. The non-smoker is imposing it on him/her self. A parent can't get upset if their kid hears foul language if they took them to an R-rated movie.

I know that you're not trying to pick a fight.

Let's say that grocery stores still allowed smoking. Why should I be exposed to cancer causing agents when all I'm trying to do is survive by going to the store to buy food to eat?

Go to the nonsmoking grocery store. If there are enough people who don't want to be bothered by smoke they'll prosper.

That's rich that you have the gall to call someone a pussy for NOT going outside to smoke. You ****ing pussy, suck in that 2nd hand smoke. You don't like it. Leave. How could you possibly contribute to the pussification of American then think for one single soliatry second that it's everyone else that has the vulva? You really are a dipshit.

No, you sound like an arrogant dick. I accept that people have choices. And until the bars and restaurants banned smoking INSIDE their establishments, I stayed away. I didn't complain. I just let my wallet do my talking.

BUT, since we are not only talking about bars but also restaurants, public housing, and jobs; who are you to tell those who don't have the means to move somewhere more upscale or get a new job, that they have no choice but to expose themselves or their children to deadly poisons because it is YOUR FUCHING RIGHT to expose them?

I understand exactly the point that you are trying to make. And I don't necessarily disagree 100%. I'm flexible. Balance and pragmatism is always the key. But I will say that you are someone that I would never entrust with my valuables because you are not only arrogant but you seem inflexible and incapable of understanding the point of view of those who may not have the same freedom of choice that you seem so proud of.

I already said that I include all common areas in which the public shares, including the common areas within apartment complexes. The virtue is the act of not exposing others to the deadly consequences of your own risky behavior.

I have also stated that I believe anything a person does within the confines of their own environment is perfectly legitimate. What part about that don't you understand?

The common areas withing apartment and condo complexes are not the issue. The very commonality of living in a complex (whether you rent or own) is the issue.

Are you okay with your next door neighbor's smoke sometimes escaping his personal residence when you might be so inconvenienced you that become aware that he smokes?

I'll bet you are.

Go ahead, admit it.

Then you have entirely missed the point I have tried to make repeatedly. This is not about me or any other smoker. This is about business and property owners that should not have to deal with government interference over completely legal activities. Ban smoking, not where it's performed. Otherwise sit the **** down, and shut the **** up. Smoking bans are downright UNAMERICAN.

Do you believe that owning a driver's liscence comes with a responsibility?

Yeah. Do you reeeeeeally believe that there are no options for non smoking in a town without an outright ban? Who's arrogant? Someone who is for freedom of choice? Or someone who believes that EVERYONE should live according to what YOU want? You are the one that sounds arrogant. JMO.
