You really can't keep a secret in the NFL for a whole week. If someone were leaving, they'd be calling around to other teams to find a landing place and word would leak. No one keeps a trade or FA signing secret for a week. Health problems for someone on the staff doesn't sound right. That is not something you announce a press conference for a week in advance.

This has all the hallmarks of Herm showboating.

Either that or Trent Green is going to become our QB coach after the Chiefs bought out his contract with the Rams.
