ESPN's Clayton: Chiefs-Bills trade at #11?

The Bills are reportedly looking at Michigan State WR Devin Thomas with the No. 11 overall pick. ESPN's John Clayton says Buffalo, which runs a Cover 2 scheme, is also eyeing cornerbacks with the selection. Clayton also suggests that the Bills might try to move out of the pick, possibly in a trade with Kansas City.

Because we could still get a top talent.

Let's say the board falls like this, which it definitely could:

1. Miami- J. Long
2. St. Louis- G. Dorsey
3. Atlanta- M. Ryan
4. Oakland- C. Long

we know the Jets like McFadden and the Patriots like Gholston, so in this scenario we would be assured of landing Ellis. Or at the worst, we would get Gholston.

Even if the Falcons take C. Long and then Oakland takes Gholston, then we could move back one spot and still take Ellis or Ryan. Seems like a win/win for us and we gain another pick in the top 3 rounds.

I'm hearing we're going to trade all 13 of our picks this year for every pick in next year's draft. Then next year we're going to trade the entire draft for the rights to every pick for the next 10 years. We'll dominate the NFL.

If KC were in the mood to move up, as GM I would try my hardest to "mortgage the future" and only surrender one pick in the 2008 Draft and throw in anything lower than a 2nd to make it palatable... That is of course if means we get a good value and not totally butt****ed in either the 09 or 10 draft.

Yep. If Long, Dorsey, Ryan, and C, Long are gone - this is what I hope we do. Seems like a no brainer. That's what scares me though.

Shoot - I'f Ryan's gone, I'd take Gholston at # 5 no matter who's still there.
