The "D" How Will Our Front Four Line Up?

We have Boone, Hali and McBride(Turk) listed as DEs and then we have Dorsey, Ewards and Tyler(Tank) listed as DTs. That's the way I read it off the roster anyways. I thought I read where Edwards was gonna play LDE but I could be mistaken and it might have been Boone who played alright in the middle last year. So how are they gonna line up?

Edwards Turk backs up DE
Boone Tank will rotate in the middle
Dorsey
Hali

Who's our other DE? Although I thought Allen was good against the run I see this front four as being better end to end against the run with the big question being Hali rushing the passer from the RDE position. If Dorsey is all he's supposed to be I think Hali will have double digit sacks.

Well I'm gonna assume that "Dorse the Horse" wins his position.

What else is he going to say? If he thinks his agent is going to cave in early because Dorsey might miss out on playing time...its all about the Benjamins.

LE- rotation of McBride and Brian Johnston, maybe Johnny Dingle as well
NT- Tank Tyler, best fit for this position
UT- Glenn Dorsey
RE- Tamba Hali

But all of the defensive tackles will rotate in. With Boone being our best DT a year ago it would be hard to keep him off the field. I can see him lining up next to Dorsey on passing downs and Johnston or Dingle taking over at left end to get our best pass rushers on the field.

Johnston and Dingle.....So Inside we could/should have Dorsey and Boone with a Edwards and Tyler rotating in. If Tyler steps up and Dorsey is what he's supposed to be that's a pretty good DT rotation. Constant pressure up the middle is the one thing that has held our D back for sometime now. To think we may have finally fixed.

I'm still surprised to hear that Boone might be a defensive end. If so, I think he would be the biggest defensive end in the league, even counting the 3-4 ends.

If they're moving him there, I think it implies some confidence in Tank. I still think that Turk is too small to be a DT on most downs.

Our roster right now has these guys, with the drafted guys/veterans in bold:

Boone, Dingle, Hali, Johnston, McBride, Parker, Saint-Dic (best name ever!)
Dorsey, Edwards, Jackson, Lokey, Murray, Tyler

That would point toward a starting line of Boone, Edwards, Dorsey, and Hali from left to right, with McBride and Tyler as the first guys off the bench. Perhaps Tyler can beat out Edwards at DT, and I suspect that he will.

It's Boone and not Edwards then. I'm hoping McBride can play well enough tht Boone can end up playing DT.

Or Johnston, since he's more athletic. Yeah, it'd be nice. I think Dorsey and Boone could really wreak havoc on Oakland and Denver's pitiful offensive lines.

didn't Johnston have alot of sacks in college. (Gardner Webb?) Maybe he can come in on 3rd down.

He had as many as Chris Long.

He's big and strong enough to be an every-down player, too.
