Brian Anderson, Jesse Todd, Colby Rasmus. Jaime Garcia, Chris Perez. Clayton Mortenson, Jason Motte. All will contribute heavily to the major league club next year. This isn't football. Rebuilding means that your farm system is being set up to supplant the big leaguers.

Anderson is going to be a damn good big league catcher, Perez is the closer of the future (and apparently the present) who just sliced you guys apart, Todd has a microscopic ERA, Mortenson is being fast-tracked, McCellan is already productive at the big league level.

The youth? How about our entire outfield? Even though Ludwick is in his 30s he's never played in the majors all that much. Our bullpen? McClellan, Garcia, Perez, Worrell has been up...

We've had 11 players make their big league debut this year twatstamp. And as for the Cubs being the best team in the last decade

Th last time I went to see the cubs play the Cards at Wrigley, Sammy Sosa hit a walk-off in the bottom of the 17th inning. By that time, I was at the Cubby Bear drinking vodka-lemonaide watching on the big screen.
