I'd cut the loses with McIntosh and start Taylor at RT.

Key difference between average teams and good/great teams is knowing when to cut bait. The Chiefs haven't done that in 20 years (sans Edwards); they seem to always be one or two years behind eveyone else in determining player X isn't working out.

Jesus...Svitek? WTF?....Guy hung around on 'potential'...

Chiefs PR machine is too afraid to say "F it, we screwed this one up" and move on.

My only concern would be our depth at LT. Behind Albert would be Edwin Harrison.

Well in a pinch, I guess Herb could move back out left and have Barry Rich man down RT.

Moving Herbie back and forth like that may destroy the space-time continuum.

Well it is a better idea than having scabs like Edwin Harrison see the field. Lets the "Rotten Apple" ride the pine as well.

If KC was to move Herb Taylor over to start at RT, with Albert being at LT, than McIntosh would probably be the first backup off the bench for both positions. If both got hurt, than that forces McIntosh to stay at LT, and Barry Richardson to come in and play RT.

The Taylor move wouldn't be bad. However, it should have been done a long time ago...

I agree. But it's going to take time for Taylor to learn the new position. Moving from left to right tackle requires a completely different approach to playing the position. Once you move him to right tackle, you can't go back--you can't constantly move him back and forth between left and right. It's too much to ask of the guy.

The good news is, McIntosh is a natural left tackle, so you can move McIntosh to backup left tackle and then move Herb Taylor to right tackle. The problem is, you'll have to start Barry Richardson until Taylor is ready to play a different position. I personally don't think Richardson's all that great, but I think you need to use him until Taylor can be ready to play somewhere else on the line.

I don't think Taylor is the future for the Chiefs at LT. I do think he could have a bright future on the right side of the line.

The saddest part he was the teams second best offensive lineman last year. McIntosh is a stop gap solution and I suspect this is his last year in KC.

The learning curve would be minimal for Taylor since RT was his position for two years at TCU.

It's too bad that the Chief coaches can't see it that way, for whatever reason.

Would had saved us alot of trouble, and would speed up the rebuilding process, instead of putting a guarenteed piece of shit pussy veteran who is constantly getting whipped at the LOS, not to mention that a little boo-boo, he's out for at least 2-3 weeks.
