It reminds me of an SEC game a few years ago... something about Tennessee having to take a bus ride down to LSU. ESPN was all over it, talking about how big of a disadvantage it was and how it would get them out of the routine, etc.

Unless the players are autistic, I don't think a group of 18-22 year olds are going to collapse under a little change. ESPN was bitching like a bus ride would destroy the team, while the players should be (and probably are) thankful everyday they can take flights instead of having to take long rides like.... uh, the vast majority of college athletes.

Well, it might sound bad to say, but I would not be surprised if a lot of athletes for premier teams and programs probably would complain and be thrown for a loop if they aren't catered to and have to rough it. Some of these guys aren't nearly as mature as we probably think.... as a lot of 18-22 year olds are...

I went to a DII school, so I haven't seen it first hand... I wasn't thinking about maturity, just the ability to go with the flow, but you're probably right. If you've been told you're the greatest whatever since high school, there's probably a psychological effect when telling those players that they have to get out of bed early or whatever. I guess the coaches can only play the "nobody's going to feel sorry for you when you lose" card for so long when the media is making all sorts of excuses for you before you ever take the field.

Personally I'm watching Buffalo-Temple, and it's been a tight finish.

Holy crap!! Buffalo just caught a Hail Mary in the endzone for the win! What an incredible finish. That might end up being the best finish of the day. Temple scored with less than a minute to go... Buffalo went down and won it with a Hail Mary.

Great start for michigan. Returner loses the kickoff (as in he loses sight of the ball while it's in the air...) and they start from the 5.

Aaannnd after moving the ball out to the 20, they get a chop block penalty and then fumble on the 10. About to be 7-0 Notre Lame.

I give up. I don't think I can watch this.

Another Michigan muff on a kickoff. And the officials gave it to ND without even getting to the bottom of the pile.

And Michigan fumbles the kickoff. Notre Lame about to go up 14-0, less than 5 minutes into the game.

This is like a 3 stooges bit.

Great start for Notre Dame. If Notre Dame avoids turnover there will win.
