Chiefs Note to Herm: Wake the **** up

He's ridiculously inaccurate and he makes stupid decisions. You cannot win with him. Play Huard and help Bowe, Franklin, Cottam, Albert, Charles, and Niswanger develop with at least competent QBing around them. They go backwards with Thigpen at the helm.

That's a load of crap. Whether Thigpen or Huard in there has absolutely nothing to do with the development of Albert or Niswanger. Cottam rarely sees the field. Bowe's numbers are BETTER with Thigpen than with Huard. All Huard ever does is throw a jump ball duck up to Tony Gonzalez or curl in the fetal position and take a sack. That doesn't help the development of the young guys any further. Winning? Who gives a crap about winning? This team wouldn't win no matter who was in at QB.

Three and outs severely cutdown offensive snaps.
Limited time hurts young players. Will Franklin and Jamaal Charles need a QB that can get them the football.

Bowe's going to get his regardless of who's at the helm.
He has that kind of talent.

This offense had success running the ball yesterday, but only after the Atlanta defense gave them room to run. By the start of the Second Half they assumed we'd come out throwing the ball. Which would've been the case if we had a respectable signal caller.

Winning football games is what Herman Edwards, Carl Peterson and this team is being paid to do.
This is the NFL. You don't tank football games so you can evaluate a 7th Round draft pick.

Jamal Charles dropped at least 3 passes yesterday that hit him right in the hands with appropriate 'touch'. That's on him, not Thigpen.

Of course they WANT to win games. Having Damon Huard in there wont bring wins.

Did you look at Charles stats? He had both more carries and receptions than either of the 2 previous games.
I don't think Thigpen is the answer, but there is absolutely no reason to put Huard out there unless everyone else is injured.

No - with all due respect, that's a load of crap. The young guys need to win. The feeling of winning a game helps you see what all the work is for and helps you get better. Losing is contagious and leads to players shutting down.

The team won in San Diego last year with Huard at QB. Thigpen can't look respectable, let alone win.

I understand your point but I bet we would have passed on Ryan because Carl and Herm were hell bent on proving something with Croyle. They have. They proved they're idiots for believing in the guy.

Winning games is NEVER meaningless. It helps build the morale of your younger players (and team) and gives them confidence that they can go out and beat a division rival on the road.

What purpose does losing, to evaluate talent, serve?
