Note to Herm: Wake the **** up

This is coming from your biggest (and possibly your only) supporter on Chiefs Planet.

If you send Tyler Thigpen out there one more time, you deserve the inevitable firing that will result. You thought he could play and you were very very wrong. Move on now.

Dane I'm talking about common focking sense here, not athletic ability, just knowing that hey we got 8 minutes left and need to get our ass on the line.

Well, that's inexperience, especially at the QB level.

We're talking about a QB who's taken snaps as the starter for ONE WEEK.

I know most of you Chiefs fans expect miracles, but this is asking too much.

NEway, I hope that you guys get a better HC so that your team will be once again competitive.

There is a Profootball Weekly article that discusses your team's demise. Interesting reading. goto profootballweekly.com

You guys deserve better... Most of Jets fans can really sympathize with you. BTW this does not mean that we like Mangini either, at this point, anyone is better than Herm.

Good luck this year.
Get lost, Herm is going young and rebuilding the team something many of us have been hoping the team would do for years. Better than Magini who is going the George Allen approach and selling out the future of the Jets organization to try and save his job.

We want the WORLD man. Can't you figure that out yet?

seriously though. I think Joe is just referring to the basics of showing some level of urgency when you are down 17 with 8 minutes to go. Spending less time in the huddle.

I understand that completely but I think that you guys are expecting too much out of a 7th round draft choice that's been forced into starting unexpectedly. He is improving.

Dude,if it's asking too much for your team to know where they're at in the game or the head coach reminding them that the clock is ticking then the whole organization needs to be scrapped.

Cripes, clock management is taught from pee-wee on.

I don't care who we play at QB. But when you're playing Thigpen to get a chance to see what he is, why the heck are you not playing Richardson instead of the man that shames Willy Roaf's number?

They're wanting to see what the young guys can do, but only some of them. Makes no sense.

Well, we've gone down this road, we probably need to stick with it for a little bit. But Thigpen has to get better, a lot better. No he doesn't need to be Tom Brady, but he has to cut down on the bad passes, start completing 50%+ of his passes, etc. And the scary part is now we're going to start playing tougher teams, and now they're actually going to be gameplanning for Thigpen, so he is going to have to raise his level of play.

People can exaggerate about Huard, he's not some kind of savior, that's obvious. But if defenses start clamping down on Thigpen and his numbers don't improve it's going to be historically ugly. Going 14-36 and throwing 3-4 picks a game is not going to give anyone on offense a chance to do anything, and continuously put our defense in a worse position than even Huard does.

It is not asking to much to put together a roster that can play? How does a team have 3 headed sacks of monkey shit all at the same position? I know you enjoyed yesterday not too many others did.

Keep your expectations low, that way you will never be disappointed.

We are asking for too much. We should be happy Thigpen was 1 for 11 for minus one yard. After all he could have been 1 for 11 for -2 yards and that would have been worse.

Considering this guy got no time with the first team offense in training camp and he played against 1-AA talent before that, it's asking far too much for a 7th rounder that was waived by his original team to be incredible in all phases of the game.

That being said, he definitely showed improvement from week two to week three.

That's pretty much all you can ask for at this point. Improvement.

Apparently, you and many of the other Chiefs fans disappointed with the Chiefs showing this year didn't get the memo:

They're rebuilding.

Rebuilding doesn't mean re-loading. It essentially means that this team is an expansion team. Instead of going out and plugging holes with free-agents, they've decided to draft players, play them immediately and play the old guys on the roster until they're replaced next off-season.

They're building a team from the ground up. It's going to be a bumpy ride until all of their needs can be addressed. Then hopefully, they can draft for depth or move around and grab a superstar in 2010.
