Sam Bradford seriously contemplating the NFL

I know some of us have been stating for a while now that Bradford would declare for the draft, contrary to what SOME would tell you. It's looking more and more like Bradford will put his name in the upcoming draft...

OU's Sam Bradford will consider NFL

NORMAN — Sam Bradford isn’t shutting the door on the NFL.

The Oklahoma quarterback plans to consider every bit of information available about his NFL Draft prospects before making a decision.

"It’s something me and my dad talked about — in order to make a decision, in order to make the best decision, you need as much information as possible,” Bradford said Tuesday afternoon. "So whether it’s to stay or to go, we’ll see.”

A redshirt sophomore, Bradford would forego two years of eligibility if he decides to leave early.

Having talked to his parents and his position coach, Bradford wants to weigh his options before making his decision.

Bradford’s father, Kent, and Sooner quarterback coach Josh Heupel will take the lead in gathering information from NFL types. They can talk to scouts, coaches, even general managers. Those evaluations will be crucial.

Underclassmen must declare for the draft by Jan. 15.

"It’s going to be a process,” Bradford said. "Even if I think I know what I want to do right now, there’s kind of a need to get as much information as possible so that looking back on this decision years down the road you don’t regret anything because you didn’t go after the information needed to make the right decision.”

Thats correct, Carson Palmer is proof of that. However, I wouldn't bet against Heisman's kiss of death on QBs.

Why do people keep saying Bradford? Isn't it spelled Bustford?

Believe it or not I'm not that impressed with Cutler-call me crazy. His accuracy leaves alot to be desired.

Thats because Ryan wasn't surrounded by great talent and he had to throw in tight spaces under pressures. Basically same situation Stafford is in.

Mecca wants whoever the #1 QB is at the time.

At one point last year, he said he'd turn in his fan card if we passed on Brian Brohm.

I don't understand this argument.

Correlation does not equal causation. The past Heisman flops have nothing to do with Bradford and his pro potential.

Agree, but there's nothing on the team even worth talking about, so we have to find something to discuss. I'm sure it will be even worse than this over the next four months.
