I hate the speculation game. But there just seems to be one scenario that I think will make too much sense for the Chiefs not to do....

GM - Marty
Coach - Cowher
DC - Wade Phillips
OC - Gailey

Marty has a history with Cowher and Phillips. Phillips runs a defense that Cowher likes. Gailey has a history with Cowher.

I'm not saying it's a best scenario. I just think it's interesting that there are two people floating around in the GM/HC network that have a very strong history with KC, and a head coach that could be fired with a strong relationship with a potential GM candidate.

Sorry for playing that game. But it just seems like an interesting turn of events.
