It's already been reported, I believe by Adam Schefter, that interviewing him wouldn't count.

Quite a few actually, and we didn't still have a GM in place when those interviews were going on. As far as we all know we still have a head coach in place.

This makes absolutely no sense. If Herm was fired, his $4 million would not be jeopardized by telling anyone he wishes that he was fired.

There's a guy on one of the Broncos' forums telling this as well. He's getting blasted by the Donk fans who say there's no way that Shanahan would ever go to K.C.
