Uhhh what makes you so sure that Herm is still the coach? He could have been fired last week. They don't have to announce firings publically when it happens. Especially when the head coach that was fired has $4 million reasons to stay quiet about it.

he has $4 million dollars no matter what...he doesn't have to stay quiet about it...if he is fired, maybe he's staying quiet out of respect for Clark?...but it's not like he has to stay quiet about anything.

I'm assuming a deal was worked out. He can't go out bad mouthing the chiefs if he ever wants to work in the NFL again. He went won 2 games in 24 tries. He wasn't done wrong.

This makes absolutely no sense. If Herm was fired, his $4 million would not be jeopardized by telling anyone he wishes that he was fired.

You've drifted far away from common sense. The Chiefs have no reason to keep Herm's firing secret. It does absolutely nothing for them. As soon as Herm is officially terminated we will know right away because he and his agent will pursue other work, whether in coaching or TV and the media will know this. And the Chiefs will begin the process of "officially" intervieiwng candidates, including at least one minority candidate. Even if they have already talked to Shanahan through back channels and have decided internally that he is the next coach.

Dude, its all speculation. Get use to it. Information leaving Arrowhead to the public will be harder to get than finding someone who wants 4 more years of George Bush. It was the NE way and it will the way it is here.

unless you consider Herm and all the rest of the coaches might look more valuable to the rest of the league if they still have jobs while looking for another one.

maybe the chiefs haven't announced to HELP THE COACHES not anything else.

GMs are not that stupid. Common sense tells you that Herm and other coaches have been discussing other options through back channels for weeks.

Why doesn't the interview of Herm count? I think it's stupid that it won't.

Because he's already employed and under contract.

Why is this so difficult for so many to understand?

I am curious how the heck they'd announce Shanarat in a couple of days if they haven't interviewed anyone under the Rooney Rule. Unless they sat Jon Embree or someone down to do that, or held secretive interviews behind the scenes with someone else out there, I don't see how they could move so quickly to bring Shanarat in. Which gives me even more reason to doubt Shanarat is coming here anytime soon...

They probably won't terminate herm until Rat sees the cheese.
Pioli is a dirty mofo. We all know that. He will break the rules and tell Clark,
"Well that's the cost of doing business."

Once the rat is stowed away, they'll interview crennel and maybe the guy from the ravens, offer one of them the DC instead of being the HC. Crennel will probably take it, thinking in a few years he'll get another shot.

No $hit. The people around here think they have 'the right to know'. The Chiefs don't have to tell anyone a damn thing. It's not full disclosure.
