When he died, it was like a piece of my heart died.

so then I got on the Chiefs planet...It may have been the Star back then and there was this person I didn't know very well who offered to put names on a card she was making to take to the stadium

Say what you will about Denise, but I remember her making a huge card to take to one Arrowhead Drive for all of us out of towners.

How many of you went to the stadium to see DT one last time?

I met her once...back in the Star days when a group of us got together to bowl and go to station casino. It was pretty fun and she seemed really nice

I don't recognize her now...

Also met KC wolf, JOhn and his then wife, Morphius and many others I can't remember who.

It was quite fun

we should do it again sometimes

I was there and it was it was my honor to do it. The card ended up on the news and on a shot in the paper. It was a very sad time at Arrowhead.

I think Derrick getting his HOF induction and CP leaving this year sort of brings that period to closure in a very symbolic way. I think the team AND the organization has a real chance to change the energy and change the direction while never forgetting the great things the two of them brought together.

One of them plays football. Not very well from what I've read, except for that one game where he wore his father's football pads.
