I'm sure they'll try him there to see. He's one of the few players on d right now that fits.

No he's not.

The OLB has to have the speed to get around the edge, and the primary reason that Hali failed at RDE is that he didn't have the speed to get around the edge, so he was easy to contain.

Actually, his biggest problem was getting tangled with offensive linemen. He wasn't strong enough to play that way.

He will be a very good fit.

And why do you suppose he got tangled with O-Lineman?

It's because he lacked the speed to get around the edge, so he had to attempt to bull rush, or make the stupidest spin move inside that I think I've ever seen.

The guy is slow and lacks athleticism.

There's no way in hell he has the tools to play OLB in any scheme.

He has a good burst, and a good motor. He was having problems taking on a T one on one from a down position.

they were talking about that on 810 awhile back, hali's moves coming from a stand up position are enhanced and gives him more options

I had nearly the same exact argument last year when he was moved to RDE.

I said he lacked the speed to get around the edge, and that the LT would not respect his outside rush, and that he would be manhandled by the LT.

Everyone said I was wrong, that he'd be fine there.

He simply is not a good fit at any position in a 34.

He will be tried there at the OLB if they move to 3-4. I'm just saying they won't let him go. I think he'll be a good fit there. So we both have our takes firmly established.

Exaggerate much?

Anyone with half a brain knew that Hali doesn't have a very good first step and wasn't suited for RDE. Anyone with a half a brain knew that Boone wasn't going to make a good LDE and that the addition of Dorsey wasn't going to offset the departure of Allen.

We all embellish to make a point.

But the fact is, there were more people who believed that Hali would be ok at RDE end than those who didn't.

I guess that means there's alot of people around here with less than half a brain.
