Someone explain to me what makes Aaron Curry worth the 3rd pick?

Since I'm seeing people starting to lean that way I really want to know...he's not a rusher 9 1/2 sacks in 4 years...he has nearly as many INT's as he does sacks over the course of his college career...

Does this mean he's a bad player no it doesn't, but the type of LB he is does not make him worth a top 5 pick. Fathom this Ernie Sims was taken 10 as a traditional 4-3 OLB he's a very nice player...is he a difference maker up in Detroit, he's not. And it can be easily argued that he's more naturally gifted than Curry is..the OLB position in a 4-3 is not a game changing core position.

Not to mention you could sign the #1 LB on the market of FA for half of what you'd have to pay Curry to do the same thing.

If he doesn't get the #3 overall pick right this year it probably will be a bad omen for the future of our team, this a pick that can't be screwed up.

True. But there is another powerful thing that Pioli brings to the table.

Hope.

But as I stated in a previous post, I am very skeptical of Pioli. But I still have hope.

That's why sitting at #3 sucks balls. #3-15 is pretty much the same except for the $$$ involved to sign them.

Contrary to what you might think, there are people on here who don't hang on every word you say. I don't value your opinion over anyone elses, so if you said that, I missed it.

I'm not down with the Jenkins possibility. Money aside, if the team switches to the 3-4, I think Raji would be a better selection.

Considering value and need, I think he's a better pick.

Jenkins is a very nice player, but it's not like we're talking about a Sanders level corner here, either.

The problem is you won't know that until 2-3 years down the road so he can't be a moron at least this year.

If we're switching to the 3-4, what are we going to do with Dorsey? Do we move him to a DE position, cause he can't play NT, can he?

I'm confused... :-(

I agree with this. If we are switching to a 3-4, I wouldn't mind Raji at all.

If one of the two QB's is available and the Chiefs pass, I will be extremely disappointed. Pioli will become very suspect in my eyes.

New England had TWO franchise QB's in his tenure: Bledsoe and Brady.

Haley worked with Tony Romo and Kurt Warner.

I can't imagine a world where they pass on either Stafford or Sanchez.

I know people will say that it's too much money to have tied up in DT's. But if we switch to the 3-4, we don't have a DT.

Truthfully. Dorsey better adjust, or it's a very wasted pick from last year.

A part of me doesn't like the idea of drafting a player who was ineligible to play games because he was to stupid to pass classes and that's BJ Raji.

There is no such thing as a good QB prospect in the minds of Chiefs fans. It's all about next year rather than 3 years down the road, when we can actually compete and win.

Whatever gets the party up and running at Arrowhead again is all that really matters. Win a bunch of home games, hang out, get drunk, get your ass stomped in on the road, and lose in the first round of the playoffs, if you get there, because your QB can't make a drive when you need him to.

He's too small at the point of attack.

On paper, he's not a great fit as an end, either.
