Someone explain to me what makes Aaron Curry worth the 3rd pick?

Since I'm seeing people starting to lean that way I really want to know...he's not a rusher 9 1/2 sacks in 4 years...he has nearly as many INT's as he does sacks over the course of his college career...

Does this mean he's a bad player no it doesn't, but the type of LB he is does not make him worth a top 5 pick. Fathom this Ernie Sims was taken 10 as a traditional 4-3 OLB he's a very nice player...is he a difference maker up in Detroit, he's not. And it can be easily argued that he's more naturally gifted than Curry is..the OLB position in a 4-3 is not a game changing core position.

Not to mention you could sign the #1 LB on the market of FA for half of what you'd have to pay Curry to do the same thing.

His arm isn't as strong as Russell's, Stafford's, or Favre's, therefore it isn't strong.

Let's talk about Leinart:

Matt Leinart
Position: Quarterback
School: USC
Status: Senior
Height: 6-5
Weight: 225

Positives:
During his career at USC, Matt Leinart has shown good accuracy on all routes, to go along with good down-field vision. He throws one of the best deep balls in college football, putting the ball where only his guy can get it. Leinart has good pocket presence and is mobile enough to avoid the pressure, but he usually won't break a big run. He has shown he can play against top tier defenses in pressure situations. He shows great composure and leadership on the field.

http://www.sportznutz.com/nfl/draft/...tt_leinart.htm

Show me someone who didn't think he has a strong arm.

Then when you can't, let's go back to why Sanchez will thrive where Leinart failed.

Throwing a good deep ball has very little to do with elite arm strength. It's far more about the angle you put on the ball you throw, and your throwing accuracy, hence "putting the ball where only his guy can get it", i.e. the outside shoulder. Tom Brady throws a great deep ball, and his arm is league average.

Arm strength is judged on plays like the deep out not throwing the deep ball.

I'm NOT saying he has a weak arm. I'm saying there's nothing out there to suggest he has any better arm than Leinart.

Neither raves about Sanchez nor disses of Leinart.

Well, let's start with the link you just provided:

Negatives:
Some question as to whether he is as good as he has looked or if it was a product of the system and supporting cast...Not very mobile...Only average athletic ability...Needs to continue to work on and refine his mechanics. Leinart's foot work isn't as good as it could be, but it obviously hasn't hurt him. However, if he works this out he will be an even better QB. The other area of concern for Leinart is his arm strength. While he has the arm to throw the ball deep, he doesn't, as of right now, have the arm to efficiently throw the deep out in the NFL.

Nice job of wanton intellectual dishonesty as well as rampant one who sucks the penisy.

You are stupid, I'm sorry. I can't argue with someone who isn't even smart enough to watch the players to make an argument.

The next time you want to drop into Martyr Mode about the insults you get, look no further than this ARROGANT FULL-OF-YOURSELF BULLSHIT to see why.

You really think you're SOMEBODY, don't you?

As opposed to an asshat who posts a link saying that scouts say Leinart's arm strength is sufficient, and says he can't find anyone degrading it when it's in the same ****ing link that he posted.

Please get ass****ed by a jackhammer.
