They still have Kansas a #2 even after getting whooped by Baylor and Tech. If KU gets a 2, I will shit myself and not change my drawers for weeks. No freaking way.

Do you know how you can get 7 teams to lose in the first round? Invite 7 Big 10 teams to the tournament. What a joke.

I don't see anyway possible that the Big East doesn't get three #1 seeds this year. That has got to be some sort of record.

From Baby Lee, not my biggest fan:

Hertz is a designated term for oscillating entities, FPS is designated for discrete pictures. Both refer to frequency, but that doesn't make them equal.
As Hamas ably illustrated above, the conundrum is to translate to rate of discrete frames, still pictures, to the rate of oscillation of the pixels. If you are translating 24 discrete pictures per second into 60 pixel oscillations per second, you have to introduce new interpolated in between pictures that previously didn't exist and are calculated on the fly [3:2 pulldown]. However, if you are translating 24 discrete pictures into 120 pixel oscillations, you can simply show each picture for exactly 5 oscillations and still maintain the FPS, show the EXACT picture with no interpolation and still maintain proper timing [5:5 pulldown].

After the game today, I can't wait to see UNC lose in the big tourney... I take away what I said about Hansbrough not flopping as much this year. Holy crap, that's all he did today... flop around and shoot free thows. He better be pretty thrilled that Ty Lawson will be back, because Hansflop can't take over a game when he plays like that... Yeah, he had a double-double, but he did plenty of stupid crap out there.

As far as the B12 bitch slap fight, eh... both teams should just be happy with whatever seed they get. I can see both losing early or playing in in the EE.

It's ironic that this proves my point. I also pointed this out in the thread. HD transmissions are 60 Hz PERIOD. HD doesn't care about 24 FPS, or 120 Hz. This is about LCD screens trying to get away from blur. They bump to 120Hz to match closely to their refresh rate (8 ms, more or less if you're spending big $). The most responsive panels show a perfect picture at 60 Hz, the others try to make up for deficiencies by "tricking" screens with refresh rates. It works, sort of. I won't go on, but you're wrong.

Look at their resumes and let me hear the argument for it.

Memphis has two wins over teams that are going to be in the tournament.

Memphis better not get a #1 seed. Gonzaga is overrated this year. I hate the Big East and it is possible for them to get #1 seeds. I predict that if Duke wins the ACC tournament they could get a #1 seed. Duke has a #2 RPI and after winning the ACC tourney COULD end up with the #1 RPI.

#1's shake down like this....
If Duke and Louisville both win their tournament, Louisville will be #1.
If Duke wins, and Louisville doesn't, Duke gets #1 seed.
If Louisville wins, Duke doesn't, Louisville gets #1 seed.
If they both lose, Memphis gets #1 seed.

I predict #2's to be...
Memphis/Louisville/Duke
Memphis/Louisville/Duke
Michigan State
MISSOURI

Yeah, I said it. Looks like they are going to win the Big 12 tournament. They deserve to get in over KU and Oklahoma because they haven't lost 4 of their last 6 like OU. They have better losses than KU does. Ku has lost to freaking UMASS, Baylor, and Tech. All of which will not make the tournament. Worst losses for Mizzou are to high seed solid NIT teams at both Nebraska and K-State.

That is my prediction, but it probably really comes down to how much the committee will value Oklahoma and how they played without Griffin. Chances are one Big 12 team will get a #2

Memphis needs to find a tougher conference because a 61-game winning streak is ridiculous.

I think it's still impressive because even though the field isn't level you'd think 1 or 2 times they'd slip up, just as it happens in the tourney. It's not like the CUSA is the Patriot League or something.

I don't know if it'll make a big difference, but I guess the conference tourney is going to be in Tulsa instead of Memphis next year, so Memphis won't have the added advantage of the home court.

No, I'm not.

Movies are shot in 24 fps

TV is shot in 60 FPS.

Both factor evenly into 120 Hz

Do you ever wonder why videophiles want 1080p/24? It's because you won't have interpolated images that cause jittering and artifacts.

Look it up on any forum.

Please, go to AVS and post a thread saying that 24 FPS/Hz doesn't matter for source information. You'll get laughed out of the room. I'm sorry that you're too arrogant to acknowledge basic mathematical factoring.

Nice two-game losing streak to end the season. That's not going to be taken into account at all, or anything.

Extend the offer, and we'll accept before you can spit out the question mark. I love it when BCS conference fans think it's possible to just walk up and join one of the cartel clubs.

No, see. C-USA is exactly as bad as the Patriot League. There are no other top 50 or top 100 teams in C-USA, and every road game is held in empty 2,000-seat gyms.

This is what people actually believe. It doesn't matter that C-USA has exactly as many top 50 teams as the SEC.

P.S. THE BIG TEN AND SEC DESERVE 6 BIDS EACH!
