People were like "well hes a drinker and he's gonna get pulled over again"

FACT: He hasnt drank and drove for a long time, and took care of himself, got himself together and had himself the best year of his career, Carl didn't want to resign him after he said he would. He lied to Jared Allen, at that point and rightfully so Jared told Carl to **** off and wanted to play somewhere else. I dont blame him. He did what all of us would have done had Carl lied to us and would have told him to go **** himself. This is just one of the many personnel screw jobs Carl has done over the years. This one prob being the most since JA was only 26 and obviously was the best or top3 DE in football. Thats something most teams would build around. So we wouldnt have gotten Branden Albert, so what, there are a lot of tackles this season. Why would it have mattered?

Anyone whos on Carls side on this needs to never post on this site again. Moral to this story is that if you do what you are told and exceed expectations you deserve reward. Its not like he's Leonard Little and killed someone and then gets an extention and gets to play in the NFL more while the victims husband takes photos on the sideline for the NFL and talke pics of the man that killed his wife.

Most of us have gotten in a car and driven home after drinking. If you haven't, well then you're lying, unless you just dont drink period. Theres a difference in drinking and driving like an asshole when you really shouldnt have gotten behind a wheel, and then theres the time when youve have a few drinks, but you can drive home without doing any harm, problem is, both can get you busted.

People wanna bash Jared Allen for that, they wanna call him a crybaby for wanting to get out of KC, while we continue to cherish one of the biggest pieces of shit fathers known to KC in that of Derrick Thomas. 58 = 5 wives 8 kids. Yeah good job, we're rooting for him to go in the HOF. cool.

The thing is that people get so caught up on what goes on off the field. And now more than ever, ESPN and co treat these athletes like celebs and you have paparazzi and so following certain athletes wacthing there every move, and it doesn't help that these people are always on TV, so even plain ol Joe can spot ol LJ spittin on a woman at a bar on a Fri night.

Now I know its part of their duty to the league to act as a pro, not to do certain things and behave like normal people. But you cant argue the fact that public figures around this area and others places are always under pressure. Ive seen MU players.....college players, get hassled when they go out to bars etc. A lot of times theres only so much a person can take, the bad part is that the pro athlete NCAA athlete, so on, has a lot more to lose than avg Joe. Some people can rub it off, some cant. Some players think they are Jesus and cant get in trouble with the law, and some just dont give a **** and go back to their street ghetto roots and do something stupid that makes the whole university look bad, yet if theyer a star player more than likely it will get swept under a rug and maybe a 1 game suspension will become a result of it.
That's a lot of words to simply tell us that Carl sucks.

Funny thing is, we already know that Carl sucks.

Exactly. If not a qb then get quality. If we can't trade down I have no problem adding a pro bowl player in a position of need and importance for that pick.

Anyone want to guess what the cap hit to Minnesota would be for trading him?

Then, on top of that, they have to pay the #3 overall.

Someone forgot their reality pill.

Would they be able to maintain their awesome defense without Jared? They'd still be good, but dominant? Doubt it.
I'm not sure I'd call #13 in points allowed "dominant".

What made them a successful team last year? Sidney Rice? It was Adrian and a play-making defense. Those are the only good qualities about that team. If they get a real QB, they MIGHT be the most dangerous team in the NFL
