According to NFL Network

The Chiefs first pick will be at 13. Washington is putting together their ammo to get this done.

Unfortunately that's not what he's saying.
He's saying that 45 cents is worth more today than a dollar tomorrow.

He said the pick devalues by an ENTIRE round.
That means 1,150 is worth 450 in next year's draft.

It's an investment principle. The day after the draft next year, which will have you ahead?

You could have a middle of the first round draft pick you just made, or you could have a guy you drafted in the second round last year with a year of offseason program, training camp, preseason, and a 16 game season under his belt.

The day after the draft in 2010, I think you are ahead with the second round guy plus a year, and you probably saved a lot of money on the side.

So the teams that every year trade up from the top of the 2nd to the end of the first and pay with a #1 next year, plus their #2 this year are getting robbed?

I agree that the pick is devalued.
Just not by an entire round.

I think most coaches will take the risk of having a 1st Round talent in next year's draft over a Second Round player in the current draft any day of the week.

I'm still waiting for your first post that actually makes some sort of sense. I can't believe out of 8,000 posts in a couple months you still haven't had one. Keep following Mecca and Hamas around and maybe some of their smarts will rub off on you. Better yet, keep drinking from their dick socks and it could happen before you know it!

For saying you don't give a shit what I think, you sure find a number of ways to work me into conversation.

You'd think I hollowed out your girlfriend goat with the way you skulk around.
