What the hell is wrong with Denver?

I guess you can just play with 11 RB's on offense.

I wouldn't go overboard here, the Chargers haven't drafted well the last few years.

Like the Ayers pick, the guy Mayock thinks will be the best defensive player in this draft.

Based on what? Senior Bowl practices?

What did Ayers actually do during the regular season in the SEC?

Are you serious?

Ayers will probably play 3-4 OLB. Jackson will play 3-4 DE. Completely different positions.

Let me preface this by saying I hate McDaniels with a passion and am torn when I see the NFL crew ripping him between shouting my agreement with the TV, and plotting various terrible actions for him making the team a national laughing stock.

All that said, picking a RB in the first round made a certain amoutn of sense. You have a great offensive line and can add a level of explosiveness if you believe this young man will be a big-time player--and make up a little bit for trading one of the most dangerous arms in the league.

I probably would have rathered to flip the order and go Orakpo and then Beanie Wells, but apparently they weren't super high on Orakpo, and were on Ayers.

He can play both at 272. He is very versatile and he can always add weight.

When they covered the pick Ed Werder said that McDaniels' comment was that they think Ayers can play on the outside some downs and be moved in on others, so that's apparently what they think they can do with him, whether or not there's any validity to it. And they also siad they think Ayers can play with 10-20 more lbs on him.

Denver's pick was roughly 5X better than ours.

They actually got an impact player and someone that can take the pressure off their QB. We got a glorified under-tackle 7 picks higher.

As bad as the Denver offseason has gone, I'd take it over ours.

He sucked prior to 2008. Everyone knows that.

But he was awesome in 2008.

I guess McDaniels is counting on the man rather than the teenager.
