What the hell is wrong with Denver?

I guess you can just play with 11 RB's on offense.

What position is Robert Ayers in a 3-4?

I'll concede the Moreno pick. I think he was the #1 RB in this draft and I think he'll excel in Denver. However, I'm not a fan of taking Ayers in the first round whatsoever. And I don't believe trading back into the 2nd round for a TE that was primarily a blocker in college is a sound strategy.

Great so they just traded up to draft a Danial Graham type when they are already paying Graham roughly 6M per year.

Ayers is a stud and projected in some Mocks to go much earlier than #18...

but i can't argue the rest of your points..

after the 1st round, Denver really put out some head scratchers to me...

I like Moreno but Ayers is out of position in the 3-4 and the rest of those picks are really questionable.

So... Denver turned Jay Cutler into Ayres, a 2nd round CB, and a blocking TE. What?

AND they gave away *their* 1st-round pick next year, not Chicago's.

They are people McDaniels and Xanders liked, and they made moves to get them.

They didn't consult the fans who've been reading mock drafts all year - so sorry. If they had, they might have gotten a great bargain like Rey Maualuga (#38) at #12.

That Alphonso Smith trade is easily the worst move of the day. They gave up what is likely a top 10 pick for #37. ****ing awful.

I would never think Jason Dunn as a 2nd rounder....FWIW

Any conformation that it's their 1st? If so that's a pretty ****ing brutal price for that 2nd rounder this year.

Yeah. NFLN reported it was their natural 2010 first rounder.

I'll bet McDaniels thinks that's going to be a pick in the 25+ range.
