2 offseasons ago, the Jays nearly got Brian Sabean (i.e. the stupidest GM in sports) to give us Lincecum for Alex Rios. It took him a week to decide, but finally after the fans basically protested, he declined. We would have had Halladay, Lincecum, Burnett, McGowan, and Marcum....

Of course, all of that has gone to total shit now.

The funny thing is...they still wouldn't have made the playoffs. Not with Shannon Stewart, Brad Wilkerson, Kevin Mench, Matt Stairs, and David Eckstein taking up the DH at bats.

JP Ricciardi can be a good GM sometimes (picking up random journeymen like Downs and turning them into ace relievers), but he can be such a ****ing bonehead, too (Adam Dunn comments, not signing a league average hitter last year to be a DH, or even Brian Burres making the start tomorrow).
