Tallet is a long reliever, you idiot. He failed as a starter earlier in his career, and was driven to long relief for the Jays until 5 of their starters got hurt. He isn't very good.

You do realize that there is a significant difference between succeeding as a middle reliever and succeeding as a starter, right?

Tallet isn't a good starting pitcher, that's why he moved to the pen. He's just making emergency starts for the Jays right now because they have 5 injured pitchers.

All it means is that he is good in short spurts for an inning or two (and there is some value in that). Being a starter is far more difficult, and he has proven that he's not up to this task throughout his career.
