Kirksville Hit by Tornado

I have just been informed that Kirksville's been hit by a tornado - apparently on the north side of town.

I don't know much - just got a post on facebook. Apparently the Chevy dealership on the north end of town has been nuked, along with several houses in that area.

I don't know where seclark lives, or any of our other Kirksville area people. Hopefully they will check in soon.

I'm sure insurance will pay better than their customers lately.

That dealership has been there as long as I can remember. I hope they reopen, but assuming business was bad anyway, this might be the last straw.

That is amazing then.

You look at the monster that hit Greensburg in 2007 and realize what might have happened had that town not had a warning in place 26 minutes before it hit.

If I remember, 11 people died — and that's 11 too many — but also incredible it was only 11 considering that there might not be one structure completely intact in this photo, and the tornado struck well after 9 p.m., so you have to figure nearly everyone was home.

I just got off work and hwy 6 is still closed. In KV all the Damage was north of 6. On a sad note, my friend Gustavo and his new fiance were killed. Anyone who was a regular customer in the Bank of Kirksville Walmart branch would know Gus. One of the nicest guys you would ever meet. I am so pissed off that baby rapers and other pieces of shit get to live while such a great person like Gus are taken from us. Here's an excerpt from an article I read on the net.

A couple living in a modular home died when their home “just exploded” from the force of the wind, said Adair County coroner Brian Noe. Gustavo Ochoa, a 47-year-old Bank of Kirksville vice president, and Alisha Brune, 29, were newly engaged and had bought the home just two weeks ago, Noe said.

Very sorry to hear this, Mr. LocoChiefsFan. It doesn't make a lot of sense, does it?

My condolences.
