Dreams vs Reality

life was awesome last year; plenty of $, no worries; loved my job etc. then WHAM.

Layoff; Friday morning at 0900 in October. Out of the blue (....if anything else comes from the 'blue'...the 'blue' can keep it).
No severance etc. 6 months no job; no bites (from a job....not of the 'love bite' variety) finally scored a job but at 48% less income. eeek.
No playing catch up.... grrr.

Oh well. Everything happens for a reason; ours was a wakeup call to appreciate the little things, each other, and life itself. But, it's still tough during the trasition.
