Man, I am genuinely surprised by the responses in this thread. I'm a dog lover and owner and I would gladly take Vick on the team as a slash type of weapon, especially for a 7th rd pick.

The guy has done more time than any one person would have served for similar crimes, will have the ongoing problems of being a felon for the rest of his life and people still want to punish him further? He did the crime and he did his time, isn't that what society asks for? RayRay and Leonard Little both killed people and where is the PR nightmare and backlash regarding this, THAT is what I find more disgusting than anything. Little has been in the league for years since killing a MOTHER and it appears to be a forgiven or at least forgotten thing.

i'm a fan of eye for an eye justice. lets strap him to a rape rack, and let the biggest baddest dude, penetrate him. then we can remove any defense he may have (in the dog fighting world they use bait dogs, with all their teeth removed so they can't harm the prize dog) lets tie his hands together and let mike tyson pound the shit out of him for practice. then when we're done we'll just kill him through either electrocution, or we can drown him. which ever is more convenient to us.

This...

The double standards that people have for animals is ridiculous.

Is this question assuming that Vick will take a huge pay cut? His big money contract is still in affect for his future if he is traded for isn't it????

The double standard is not ridiculous. Animals have no protection against humanity. They don't have free will, nor the means to defend themselves other than what nature gives them, which when compared to the "tools" mankind can bring to the table, they don't stand a chance. What Vick did was heinous. And those who follow in his footsteps deserve to be treated equally as horrible as they treat their dogs.

Vick may have paid his debt to society, but I don't give a shit. Let that dumb mother****er work at 7-11 for the rest of his life.

and this is different than the woman driving in her car that was killed by a drunk Leonard Little? Where was her will and chance to defend herself?

Is anybody saying it's a good thing Leonard Little was able to resume his NFL career? Has anyone, anywhere ever said that?

No and that's not what I'm saying, it's simply the lack of uproar about Little vs. what there is over Vick that I and I assume others are talking about. Leonard got off with less time, less consequences and less long term PR repercussions and nobody seemed to care much at the time or now. This is what I find sad and disturbing even as a dog lover and owner.

Hey throw the book at Leo as well. Im not asking for any less of rules for crimes against people. I just hate the "people have double standards for animals" argument.
