I haven't calibrated it, but I mapped out my 13.1 mile route and it showed it at 13.0 miles, so it must be pretty close at that distance. At shorter distances I've noticed that it can vary a bit (up to 10 or even 15 percent) in terms of not being able to tell when I have a faster or slower pace.

Thanks. I'm quite excited about it. The only other formal run I've ever done was a 5K about 12 years ago, so this is a great leap forward for me.

Nah. He was sick this week, so he said he's not going to run. So...I won! I beat Joe!
Joe's premise is that I have to finish to win, but my thinking is that I win as long as I finish at least one foot of the race. (Joe is a coworker who's actually a real marathoner.)
