And dont poke fun at me because I still support Brodie Croyle. You better watch out, because if by some slim chance this kid does what I think he is capable of doing, I will be RIGHT HERE ready to remind you when it's all said and done.

Dont mistake my apology for last year as an invitation to poke fun me because I am fan of Croyle, and the Roll Tide. I will pounce on you like a fat kid on a cup cake if you give me just cause. Write that down while your at it.
There is a 0% chance that Brodie Croyle will ever amount to anything but a scout team/clipboard holding QB in the NFL.

Where will you be so we can poke fun at you for being wrong?

RIGHT ****ING HERE. Just like I was last year. When he had a horrible line. And bad QB's coaching. And BAD play calling.

Brodie needs to toughen up, and if people would JUST READ MY POSTS, they would realize that even I realize, you gotta be tough to play in the NFL.

How many starts did Troy Aikman lose before he started to do well? Look that shit up, and get back to me.

What kind of chance to people really think Brodie got last year? You think that was fair?????

Whatever

Toughness isn't his problem.

His body and frame will never withstand the pounding. Period. Hell, one could make the case that he's far tougher than the average player to even try to play realizing this. The kid isn't stupid.

Please don't mention his name again in the context of being a viable candidate to play QB in the NFL. I'm a more likely option.

I DID NOT mention his name. Farzin did. I defended myself. This Friday, when I speak with Mark McMillian ( who also is an ex player for Bama ) on his radio show, I'm sure he will bring Croyle up. Feel free to listen in. His show is in Phoenix, AZ.

His body frame has been the question. I have never denied that. This is why I am interested to see what kind of camp he puts together, Again, another case of someone NOT reading my posts.

Croyle was able to get out of the last 3 preseasons. Playing in real games has been the problem. I fail to understand how camp is going to show you anything about Croyle's ability to take hits and get back up.

Croyle has no chance to be a contributer to this team. None. I'm sorry it's difficult for you to see.

What would be great is if we cut Croyle to add someone like Jerry Porter.

How many consecutive games did Troy Aikman play in without getting hurt. I'll guarantee it was a hell of a lot more than the 6 Brodie has. Was Brodie's line awful in high school? He was injury prone then as well.

You really want to blame his line why he was hurt. You can't "toughen up" when you're a fragile player. It's not like he's sitting out with hangnails. He is tearing ligaments, straining his shoulder, etc...

Yeah, our coaching staff sucked, but he was given a fair shake. He was basically handed a starting job and couldn't make it out of the first half of the first game.

Brodie has had four or five chances man, dont you see that?

You shouldnt compare, even vaguely, underachievers with overachievers. Its bad business.

He has missed more time to injury in three years than he has been available for...well almost.

Troy Aikmen won a superbowl with a team that was total crap when he was drafted and he did so in his third yesr iirc.

Its not just that he isnt very tough (I can remember the turtle tuck a few times) its that he doesnt have a body that can withstand NFL hits. Even when healthy, he didnt have good touch. He threw a swing pass as hard as a deep ball often. He really did. I like him but I can say that cause its the truth.

Croyles only chance is to go to a team with a very good offensive line***coughcough**Denver**coughcough and never get touched and have weapons at his disposal as well as a good runing game or a similar team.

He should just focus on learning an offense completely from the sideline for a couple more years and lift alot of weights and run alot to strengthen his ligaments. He will learn alot from Cassel if he makes the team.

He definatly has a massive up hill battle ahead.

I don't think there's any hope for him here. It's 1-2 cassell-thigpen and I don't think that'll help the chem any if he's 3.

Saying any qb on our roster right now has a 0% chance.... is just dumb.

For all we know, our streak of signicant personel losses on opening day might continue losing Cassel for significant time, Thigpen underperforms and Croyle is given another shot and goes injury free for five years, as Trent did after suffering injury after injury elewhere. Not saying I am wishig that,Im not, but it isnt out of the realm of "Chiefdom" either.

Barry just sees it as he wants to and that is by ignoring anything negative about the team. He will get better and his opinion will be taken better once he accepts negative views asxwell as positive ones and forms a unique opinion from the most personally convincing of both. Or maybe he is genuinly happy being a homer and that is his way of enjoying his role as a fan.

I supported Croyle too. Not to the extent he does/did, but I did support him. I have wanted a QB we drafted to succeed since I was two! Looks like I will still be wanting.

My brothers son, 3 year old Troy, met Brodie at camp and got his auto on ffn and evertime the Chiefs are on offense he stares at the screen pumping his fist shouting "go Brodie, go Brodie!" or "good job Brodie" and runs around the room asking people if they saw Brodie.

I havent had the heart to tell the little guy that the guy playing for the Chiefs isnt Brodie anymore...

Croyle could turn out like Trent Green, injury after injury till he lands in the right situation and then goes on a good run of a few productive and healthy years.

Time will tell.

Personally, I think he will play in a regular season game again, for another team in a couple years, but will get hurt on the first real hit again.

too bad...

Don't get me wrong. I liked Croyle. He was the first real shot I thought we had at getting a stud save past their prime/wrong situation (see montana/gan_non). The problem, imo, is croyles bones aren't bones they are toothpicks.
