Ok, here is the roster for the "Butte-Holes"... nice average age for both sides of the ball. Thanks to trades, I got rid of my rookie picks and will load up accordingly on veterans. I have 26 players through 21 rounds so far and I think there's great balance.
I had to trade away Cassel... I took this team over near round 3 or 4 and Cassel was a R2 pick, way too high for my liking. I've traded away my rookie picks in order to load up on 1-2 year veterans with just as much or more upside. Anyway, my main philosophy so far has been to treat this like a very complex dynasty fantasy football draft. The trick has been when to pull the trigger on OL and depth. I think I've done pretty good so far. QB Matt Schaub, QB (28) Trent Edwards, QB WR/TE Anquan Boldin, WR TJ Houshmandzadeh, WR Roy Williams, WR Greg Olsen, TE RB Peyton Hillis, FB Brandon Jacobs, RB Kevin Smith, RB *(also includes Norwood, listed primarily as the KR) OL Marcus McNeil, LT Olin Kreutz, C Chris Kuper, RG (26) ST Mason Crosby, K (24) Jerious Norwood*, KR/RB (25) Offense/ST Avg Age = 26.3 years DL Julius Peppers, DE/OLB Ray Edwards, LDE (24) Kevin Williams, DT Darryl Tapp, RDE (24) LB Kirk Morrison, ILB Zach Diles, OLB/SLB (24) Curtis Lofton, MLB DB Richard Marshall, CB Charles Tillman, CB Gibril Wilson, S Roman Harper, S (26) Defense Avg Age = 25.8 years <<>> Ok, so what do the other rosters look like... there are several great looking teams building up, but none that can escape the wrath and fury of the Butte-Holes!
