1994 - 2000 Redskins
2004 - 2005 Raiders
2007 - 2009 Chargers

One of these teams does not fit. Which one is it?

When he was with the Redskins, they had Gus Frerotte, Brad Johnson, Terry Allen, Michael Westbrook. Decent offensive talent, but garbage compared to the Chargers.

Do I even need to say anything about his tenure with the Raiders? If you want to put those horrid seasons on him, be my guest. You take away those two seasons and hes only at 4 games under .500.
Again... Marty left a talented 14-2 team, Norv took it over and has improved that 14 win team to an 11 and 8 win team. The best team (from a talent perspective) he has coached had nothing to do with Norv... those weren't players he brought in, they were there... so, yeah ... which one does not fit?

Amazing.

It's like the NFL version of Stockholm Syndrome or something.
Are there other coaches I'd rather have than Norv Turner? Absolutely.

Do I think that having Norv Turner as the Chargers Head Coach will hinder them from winning a Super Bowl? No.

Do I think its Norv Turner's Fault that the Chargers have had fewer wins than the previous season the last two seasons? No.

Go Ahead and find me a team that has ever won 14 games in back to back seasons. 14 to 11 is not that bad, all things considered. You'd kill for an 11 win season.

I don't see how anybody can blame the 8 win season of last year on Norv Turner. The Chargers were injured, plain and simple. Our O-Line was hampered all year with injuries, Merriman missed the last 15 games of the season. Gates and LT were hobbled much of the season.

Not to mention our horrible Defensive Coordinator Ted Cottrell. As soon as Ron Rivera took over our Defensive improved drastically and we wen't from a 4-8 team to a playoff contender.

The Chargers were also one horribly blown call away from a 9 win season, lets not forget that.

By the way, I don't come in here and act like I know all about the Chiefs (or the Broncos).

I think its funny when you guys think I'm an idiot when I give my opinion about the Chargers when I say they are going to be good. I doubt there is one person on this message board who knows the Chargers more than I do. They are my team, I follow them throughout the entire year, which I doubt anyone else here does with the Chargers.

So yeah, go ahead and laugh now, we'll see what happens.

Quick who were the 2 star WRs during the Air Coryell days?
What was the nickname of the defense during that same era?

I don't know.

John Jefferson and Wes Chandler?

No clue on the Defense.

Keep in mind I was born in 1986.

Guess I never realized that... you weren't even a year old during "The Drive".

You were 11 and 12 when Denver won their SBs.

You were 7 the last time KC won a playoff game.

Some of us are ancient enough to have been watching them for 20 years longer than you. I used to love watching Danny Fouts and the boys get busy on Sundays.
BTW your defense was pretty damn good in the early 80s (I think it was the early 80s), they were called The Bruise Brothers.

Good on you, I'm sure you know more about your own team than I do. You better.
You're 23 which means you better be watching your team each Sunday still slightly drunk from the night before while trying to remember who it was you slept with.

That's not our fault.
