Work was slow here earlier in the year... I was working 2-3 days a week, did I panic?
Nope, because when you don't have any bills except basically utilities, You don't have to make that much money.

I would rather it had been busy and I could have saved even more, but it wasn't there so I just took some stress free time off instead.

I also would suggest you listen to the Dave Ramsey show for a while to understand the whole mentality.....

I have made errors, even on cars

2002 I bought the explorer because my paid for BroncoII was paid for, but I was disgusted and fell for the whole reliability crap and bought it. (paid it off in 2 years)

then in 2005 the dumbest thing I did was buy the 2005 Suzuki Forenza because the gas prices were going up.... (paid off in a year) then said no more, buckled down, saved, saved, saved then paid off the final 75k dollars of my mortgage in one pen stroke...
