Absolutely the effort was there. I'm more emotionally invested now because I feel like this team put forth the necessary effort (as opposed to the last couple of years). But Coffman really is no more than a D2 QB unfortunately. He gave it his all, took a number of hits and kept going. But his decision making when given something other than "stand up and throw the ball down the line" is really awful.

He didn't show the poise to be a starting QB in the MIAA.

And had he done that correctly on the tight end screen on that critical 3rd down (it was set up so perfectly), he might have given us the lead. Instead, the pass had no zip and Bosworth caught the TE... who could have gone 40+ yards.
