Todd Haley's Chiefsplanet Approval Rating

I really should leave someone like Rainman to do this thread. I'll probably approach it completely the wrong way. But eff it. I'll do it anyway.

Give your percent satisfaction with what Todd can do. There is no, "Yes, he's good but ______." If there's a stipulation, it gets factored in as a positive or negative result.

Factor everything in. The kind of job he's doing now, the kind of job you think he'll do, the kind of job he'll do when/if he's a head coach next season, etc. Pick a number.

It's a mystery to me how anyone in this organization would rate above a 70 on a 1-100 scale.

IMO.
It might, we need to roll the pocket and move the line.. Anything to create any kind of advantage for this OL.... Not a bad idea... At least Thigpen is gone...

Cassel hitting open receivers would also prove helpful...

Goof, Waters, Niswanger and O'Callaghan can't pull worth a shit. Goof & Waters are too old, Niswanger just plain sucks and O'C missed several blocks today when pulling.

It's very clear that a Pro-Style offense isn't working, at all. They began to move the ball somewhat in the spread today but IMO, they need to go to it full time.

when you have our lack of talent and you are overmatched every week you have to try gimmick stuff and onside kicks just to keep the team in the game

Yes I did... I know we are failing, but I like the direction they are going... I can still be happy with it and annoyed with the losing and failing to address the OL...

But the majority of the quailty posters on this board knew before the season started that is was going to be rough and there was NO WAY to fix or address all the holes in this team...

The best thing whether it is the right way or wrong way, they have a plan and they are stickign with it. Unlike Herm who rode the coat tails again of the previous coach, then started his panic youth movement to save his ass...

I agree with Haley that the run identity is a good thing to have, but shit just to save face and our QB, maybe the spread isnt all that bad right now?

Yeah, I'll agree with this.

I always saw Herm's aversion to any veterans as a way of maintaining the built in excuse of having young players.

Spread or no spread, you still have to block. And we can't block.

The line blocked adequately enough last year to be close within several games. While the Chiefs had difficulty in the Red Zone, they did score multiple TD's in many games.

The Spread would give Cassel, an infinitely better QB than Thigpen, a few seconds to survey the field.

Which is something he can't do in the current offense.
