I think Dorsey is getting better. He's benefiting from the new regime.

I agree with you. I think we have to get some real line coaches and a better coordinator before we see any signs of the players true abilities.

Yep. I hoping they only kept Krumrie because their options were limited since Haley was a late hire.

I don't blame him for drafting Dorsey, either. His draft history is pretty shitty otherwise.

Jared Allen didn't want to be here. Period. Can anyone blame him? Nope. This is sh*t franchise. He wanted to leave and Peterson had no other chocie but to trade him. It's as simple as that. And unfortunately he is a hard guy to replace. But Peterson got the best value he could get in return. It's the Chiefs fault for drafting sh*t. If you want something to complain about, look no further then the draft.
He asked for a trade because he wanted a long term contract. One that CP would not give him. Therefore, it is, in fact Petersons fault. Had he signed him to a 6 year deal. Allen would still be here. We would never have drafted Jackson and we wouldn't have had the piss poor pass rush that we have for the last 2 years.

Peterson always kept the wrong player.

We kept Johnson and let one of the best defensive ends in football hop a plane to Minnesota.
Just like before when we kept Eric Warfield and let Donnie Edwards defect for San Diego.

It hurts to see Allen tearing shit up in Minnesota.
Peterson had it out for the guy and didn't want him here.
He wanted Larry Johnson. We all know how well that worked out...

But then again, hindsight is always 20/20.

THIS! It was Carl's ego that kept LJ in KC....and shipped Allen to Minnesota. LJ was Carl's draft pick....and even though all of the historical stats about running backs coming off of a 400-plus carry season never being the same again were staring Carl in the face....he still sent a premiere pass rusher packing his bags....and handed a malcontent, diaper-wearing, 400-plus carry RB....a ton of dough.

Yeah...it had nothing to do with Carl! Right.

Because LJ was Carl's boy when he picked him over Vermiel's objections. He hitched his wagon to him right there and wasn't going to let him go regardless.

Talk about GM's with ego issues.

The problem with your analysis is that you ignore the reason Allen wanted out of KC... because of how Dictator Carl treated him like shit during the process leading up to negotiating a new contract.

The bottom line is the Chiefs have traded the likes of Tony Gonzalez and Jared Allen the past two offseasons and have essentially nothing (so far) to show for it. Jared Allen on the defensive line makes Dorsey a better player. Gonzalez makes Cassel a better player.
