My friend's new bar opens in less than a month and I think he still is in need of a cool logo. The bar will be a lounge with some pool tables and a few other bar games...

The bar is either called Valhalla or Valhalla Lounge (not sure)

Some kind of stylized viking/celtic text or should there also be a proper logo?

Like a longhouse

or Valkyrie

or longboat...

I read a book a while back about historical witness observations, and they had one from a Viking funeral. Interesting stuff.

Apparently, the Vikings were a bit of a fertility cult. Maybe that happens when you live in a place with few people and cold weather where spring's a big deal. But anyway, when a Viking would die, some woman would volunteer to be his bride in death or some such thing. All the other Vikings would have sex with her, and then they'd put her on a boat with the dead guy and some other stuff, and then they'd all have sex with her again, and then they would kill her and push the boat out to sea.

I found it odd that you'd have a culture based on honoring fertility, and then you'd kill a woman as part of a funeral ritual. But hey, it's not like the Vikings were inventing the light bulb and stuff.

Have you tried doing a google image search and Typing "Valhalla Logo" it came up with some pretty cool concepts on the second page
