Chiefs Work Out 3 D-Linemen

Rotoworld:

William Joseph-DL- Raiders Oct. 10 - 6:53 pm et

The Chiefs recently worked out William Joseph, Tim Anderson and Marlon Favorite, according to Brad Biggs of the National Football Post.
They're all interior defensive linemen. Coach Todd Haley is on a quest to find some guys that can actually play.

No, wait! Wait! I have a better one!

We're bringing in the 3-D linemen for depth.

Get it? Depth?

I slay me sometimes.

Absolutely.

If your ownership is not committed to bringing in good quality players who can help you win youre not going to be a good team. Period. It's that simple.

I remember when the Skins were really good, everytime Joe Gibbs needed a player Jack Kent Cooke went out and got him one. It's called dedication and commitment towards winning thats the difference. And that is something that is nonexistent in the Chiefs organization. Thats why they're losers.

Seriously, even though the Chiefs got rid of suckage, does it mean anything? Well, I don't think so. It doesn't mean a damn thing. Listen if you take the "out with old and in with the new", and replace it with the same quality, which in the Chiefs case we can state as "junk" do you think your football team is going to improve? You either improve or you don't. No dancing around. It's all about results in this league. And the Chiefs have nothing to show for.

Make the damn thing better. Go out and get the ****ing talent. Get the ****ing players who are going to make you better. What else more? It shouldn't be hard. It is his job to give the money, at the end of the day he's the one who is paying the contracts not Pioli. And if he doesn't want to spend the money on good quality players doesn't that tell you something?

*I don't think this team will ever compete with this mentality.

It's never in reality been due to the team's failure to spend money on players, it's been due to the team spending money on the wrong players. Shawn Barber, Dan Williams, Chester McNugget, Carlton Gray, Kendrell Bell, the list goes on and on.
If New England and Pittsburgh didn't win, people would also be calling them cheap. But they make sure they get the right players and don't overspend on anyone.

I'm glad this team is leaving no stone unturned.
They're still trying to improve this football team.

They just have to realize that this isn't the way to start building your foundation. That starts in March.

Next season we must take a much different approach.
For now though... See what's out there. Can't hurt to work guys out.

While true, it doesn't explain why for two seasons in a row, the Chiefs had the most cap space of any team in the NFL.

Two years have gone by, and in those years, the Chiefs could have had a ton of front-loading on contracts (e.g. giving a player a $10M roster bonus due in year 1 as opposed to a $10M signing bonus that's prorated throughout the contract).

The Chiefs have been very, very cheap the past 2 seasons. And I think a lot of that is because the Chiefs aren't telling us the full story on how much they're spending on renovations and how much it's crippling our ability to spend on the team.

No No. They should have known!!!!

They should have replaced the ENTIRE TEAM in 1 off-season!!!

Then they wouldn't have to be looking at any other players, because we would be 4-0 right now you ****ing moran.

Who would you have signed? Haynesworth for 120 mil? I really don't think there were too many guys worth spending major dough on. If this team is going to get anywhere it's going to have to be through the draft.

You also can't discount the fact that instead of going with Croyle or Thigpen, they traded and signed a guy for 60 mil, and gave our top pick the richest rookie contract in team history. Pioli is also probably one of the highest paid execs in football. Whether it all pays off long term or not, well see.
