2009 Denver Broncos....the WORST 5-0 team in NFL history?

Ok...so they're probably not the worst in history, but I'd call them the worst undefeated team left this season. There are a lot of 1 loss teams I'd take over them. They have 2 legit wins against horrible opponents and their other 3 are come from behind luck-outs. This is just my opinion, but I doubt I'm in the minority.

His point was that the Broncos AREN'T as bad as those teams. He was refuting the thread title, methinks.

Yeah, Kansas should try and schedule powerhouses like Mizzou does. Has Illinois won a game yet? Bowling Green, Furman and Nevada would make Pete Carrol shake in his boots.

Hey, Illinois backed into a BCS game in 2007. Apparently that's a big deal.

I think they have all "Zook" players now, they really suck. Northwestern is the local football powerhouse now.

Hey, you want to come over Sunday and watch the game? We might actually have a chance to beat the Deadskins.

Who cares if they are the worst 5-0 team they are 5-0. I'd argue the 2003 Chiefs were the worst 5-0 team though.

The sad part is they have already won more games this year than the Raiders and Chiefs combined likely will.

Thanks again for the invite Tim. I have golf until the snow flies or it just gets too darn cold. I look forward to it when that happens though, maybe Denver?

Due to the freeze, we didn't get done until 3 yesterday, we had over a 2 1/2 hour frost delay.

It sucks watching the game after you already know they lost in overtime.

Looks like it is supposed to be really nice Sunday.

We have a guy here who would play golf in a blizzard if he could. I don't get it, but he sure enjoys it, so more power to him.

Prior to Sunday, I thought Denver had no chance if Orton was forced to pass often... the last thing I wanted to see was Orton with 30+ attempts. I figured if that happened "the worst would come true". The bottom line is that I didn't give him the respect he obviously deserved.

Many are blaming Brady for the passes he missed and making a few weird decisions... but many are also not giving Orton the praise for making great decisions and some great passes. The passing attack wasn't littered with dink and dunks, they took legit shots down field and across the middle and he put the ball right where it needed to be the majority of the time.

Orton will never be confused with Peyton and that's fine... but don't pass him off as Peter Tom Willis... the guy can play. Interestingly enough, yesterday was the first game he played without the glove and insert to protect his finger. I liked what he did a great deal.

If he can play like that going forward... who needs Cutler? Winning is more than just having a prolific QB... this team is winning because of the defense and the sound play of the offense. They're not in line to win a scoring title and that's fine... because the defense isn't letting the other team be prolific either and this is something that Denver hasn't had in quite a while.

Oh yeah, I would much rather be doing that than anything else. We used to have "two hat" days back in Kansas, two stocking caps.

Pretty soon, the weather will suck so bad it will only be a memory.

But I am not much longer for this frozen crap. It won't be long, and we will be headed south! Once Obama redistributes some wealth my way.

Denver is still in their learning curve and they've played well enough to beat the teams they were supposed to beat and they knocked off a struggling Dallas team and the Patriots.

They dominated the Patriots in nearly every category except for the turnover battle and won.

They shut out Dallas and the Patriots in the 3rd and 4th Quarters... they're not doing much to defeat themselves right now and that's good.

Are they legit contenders to win the division? Yes, because SD has struggled and they have a nice advantage at this point.

Are they legit contenders to win the AFC? Not yet... they have a long road.
As a Patriots fan, I gudgingly have to agree with this. Although...
