Marc Anthony has already fueled the Copter with his rendition of the National Anthem in that ridiculous suit and sunglasses combo.

More than that.

He had the touch, too. Mother****er could flat out play.

Too bad he was a complete bitch.

I'd love to hear WFAN tomorrow morning. Wonder if Jets fans will be as thrilled now with Boy Wonder since its now 5 games and he's yet to show why he's a "franchise qb". Wow he made 2 nice throws. Epic.

Cassel has a strong enough arm to make all the throws... and he isn't worth a top five pick.

I think Sanchez and Cassel are really similar in overall ability. I think both will be good, not great. The difference is Cassel was a second... and Sanchez was a first.

Now, I will admit that the Chiefs taking Tyson Jackson with that pick... made me kinda wish they had just drafted Sanchez....

That said, so long as Tyson Jackson can be a good player at 3-4 DE, then I think trading for Cassel was the smart move.

Cassel has more yards per game, a better passer rating, is on a much worse team, has played better defenses, and had his offense changed the last week of the preseason.... the difference is that Sanchez has a good offensive line, better playmakers, and a much better defense.

That's great, pull out the "no one on this entire board" when you've got nothing. I can worry about who or who doesn't like me or agree with me. Doesn't make you any smarter.

Seriously, can someone give a sensible reason Ryan let Miami run the clock down? I'm not trying to be a CP genius, I'm really trying to learn. I think my Madden time management skills are impeccable, but I can always improve.

Because Sanchez prevented him. /CP/

Dude, Sanchez is a good QB and he played a really good game today. I'm not going to take that away from him. I just haven't been convinced yet that Cassel isn't the answer in KC and am continually surprised that people have made up their minds already.

That seems like a pretty reasonable take to me.

People made up their minds before he was ever acquired. Lots of posters were adamant about NOT wanting the trade to come to fruition.

Thus, they're going to need to be convinced that they were wrong, not the other way around.

The question as to what should the New York media expects from New York Jets coach Rex Ryan and rookie quarterback Mark Sanchez in 2009:

Quote:
NEW YORK, N.Y. -- Expectations for the Jets' Mark Sanchez are enormous, and the rookie quarterback promises to do what he can to fulfill them. And that's great, but what else do you expect him to say?

What I want to know is what he's really up against -- a rookie quarterback playing in New York with the whole world watching and the weight of the world on his shoulders.

Eli Manning blazed the trail that awaits Mark Sanchez. Manning, the No. 1 pick in the 2004 draft, has been the Giants’ starting quarterback since the middle of his rookie season and has led them to the playoffs in each of his four full seasons as a starter. He engineered New York’s Super Bowl upset of New England in 2008 and was the game’s MVP. He led the Giants to the NFC East title this past season and earned his first Pro Bowl berth.
Quote:
The problem for Sanchez is that the Jets of today are not where the Giants were in 2004. They're better. The Jets were a playoff-ready team a year ago before collapsing down the stretch, losing four of their final five games. Nevertheless, they finished 9-7, the second time in the past three years they had a winning record. The feeling is that had their quarterback, then Brett Favre, not self-destructed in December the Jets were a cinch for the playoffs. That was why the club felt an urgency to trade up for Sanchez.

Now Sanchez carries the expectations that Manning shouldered his rookie season, and take it from Eli: You better fasten your seat belt, Mark.

That's hilarious. Sanchez is already a much better quarterback than Eli was at the end of his second season.
