There were phones in 1950. If you had said to someone "Uh, in the future, those will be wireless and smaller and have pictures on it" they would have had no problem. One, there was already wireless technology. Two, they had small instruments. Three, they had pictures.

I don't feel like there is nothing more to know. I just know that there's no way we're getting to another solar system to meet aliens. And no one is doing that with us.
Never say never. There's no telling what type of ne technologies will present themselves hundreds of years from now, or what new laws of physics will be written.
