Ryan Sims was not a reach. A reach is someone that you take that would have been available later in the draft. The Vikings were late in getting their draft slip up to the podium - they too wanted Sims.

Take a cold shower dude. There are MANY who think Albert is more a LG than a LT. I don't necessarily subscribe to either side,. There is something undeniable right before our eyes. His "solid" rookie season sure turned somewhat mushy in his 2nd year. He can perhaps become "solid" again, but will he ever be great at that position?

And what is this "re-learn" BS? He WAS a LG in college who only played LT one year because their real LT was out of commission.

Even when we win we lose. Who would have we drafted if Simms was off the board? We should ahve tripped.

i'm not saying we should take him but if we do that would be the result.

Right now our Dline is so fugged up

it's like some cosmic joke ... we take the Best Ranked Player Available in the draft and he sucks. We reach and he sucks. We need Oline and it's strong Dline draft. We need Dline and it's a strong Oline draft.

Sims was a reach. He somehow flew up the draft boards post season and got credit for Julius Peppers godlike year. The teams that bought into this pretense were stupid.

Who could have thunk that a LT might have problems after dropping considerable weight and currently playing too light?

What collection of ****ing dipshits would have possibly have *wanted* a player to lose this much weight? And then bragged about the overall weight loss of the team?

And there aren't any posters on this forum who laughed at this "positive" development at the time and said it was the prelude to disaster, since legit teams don't harp on artificial numbers.

Ryan Sims would have been a top 10 pick no matter what teams were picking in the top 10.

This team loses the battle in the trenches on a weekly basis. Give me Codys big ass. It's not sexy but it will improve our pass rush by other players.
